With a "soft spot for public libraries", The Wall Street Journal columnist Geoffrey Fowler (August 13, 2014, Page 1 of their Personal Journal section) asks essentially why would you pay a monthly fee to read e-books when you can get it free at your local public library? Over 90% of American's public libraries over e-books - including the Monrovia Public Library! In a not so random study of available titles, public libraries won out in the number of available titles against Kindle Unlimited, Oyster, and Scribe. It's easier than you think - just log into the library's website page for online resources with your card number and pin.
